Student Officers

Tyler Quentin Snell, (Top Left), President

Tyler joined choir in the 6th grade at MMS. This is Tyler’s 4th year in ENCORE and PREMIERE. Tyler is a member of National Honor Society for the second year, a member of Key Club, President of the Young Republicans, and is a member of ACT this year. Tyler volunteers in the Emergency Room at Selby Hospital. He is an active member of the Newport United Methodist Church . Tyler enjoys playing guitar and piano, cars, computer and video games. Tyler has been accepted at Marietta College, but is interested in Miami University and Davidson College. He plans to major in Biology or Microbiology and pursue a career as a Physicians Assistant.


Michael Spilatro, (Middle), Vice-President

Michael joined choir in the 7th grade at MMS. This is Michael’s 3rd year in ENCORE. He enjoys playing soccer and guitar. He is a member of National Honor Society and is an Eagle Scout. He is enrolled full time at Washington State Community College and travels back to the high school for ENCORE. Michael’s future plans include majoring in Physics or Chemistry at Allegheny College or Dickinson College.


Erin McCartney, (Bottom Right), Secretary

Erin is a 4 year member of ENCORE and PREMIERE, and is serving as section leader for the second year. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honors, and Key Club. She is a senior class officer, serving as Secretary, and a varsity cheerleader. In the summer of 2002 Erin attended Buckeye Girls State at Ashland College and was selected out of the 80 member choir to sing the National Anthem during the flag raising ceremony. She serves the community through mission with her church youth group and is currently serving her second year as an ordained youth elder in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Though her college selection is not final, she has been accepted at the University of Findlay. She plans to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.

Alex R. Miller, (Top Right), Co-Student Director

Alex has been a member of the Encore Singers as well as “PREMIERE” for 4 years. He joined the choir in 7th grade at Marietta Middle School. He also enjoys playing the guitar and have been involved in several bands.

He is Vice-President of the National Honor Society and also Sports Editor for the year book. He enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting, canoeing, and photography. Alex is also active in his church and youth group. His future plans are to attend a 4 year college, possibly Marietta College, and pursue a career in photography.


Andrew 'Drew' Slatton, (Middle), Co-Student Director

Drew is a 4 year member of the Encore Singers as well as “PREMIERE.” During Drew’s junior year he served as tenor section leader. While living in Belgium, Drew was a part of the Antwerp Intl. School Boys Choir. During his 5th grade year he was chosen as an alternate for a select group of boys who took part in an Intl. Boys Choir. In the 6th grade he performed with the Intl. Boys Choir in Munich, Germany. Upon returning to the states Drew played percussion for the MMS band during 7th & 8th grade. In addition to taking part in the high school choirs, Drew serves as one of the song leaders for church services on Sunday & Wednesday evenings. He also takes part in singing with a young men’s quartet formed from boys in the Encore Singers. Drew is a member of the National Honor Society. He has also been a member of Young Republicans & Key Club. Outside interests include: backpacking, hiking, camping, Kun Fu and singing with his friends. Drew is currently interested in pursuing an education in mathematics or the sciences, as well as a minor in music. He is interested inattending Vanderbilt University and Blair School of Music.


Justin Eddy, (Bottom Left), Dance Captain

Justin is the son of Angela Eddy-Huck and Jeff Eddy. This is his 3rd year in Encore Singers as well as his 3rd year in “PREMIERE. Prior to his senior year he was Bass Section leader for the choir. As Dance Captain his duties include; running dance practices, calling extra dance rehearsals, and helping the other members learn the dance. Justin also participated in choir for two years in middle school. Justin’s interests include; taking Kun-Fu lessons, working at the Heritage Tutoring Center, and volunteering at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Justin is a member of the service organization Key Club International, President of the Senior Class, a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, a member of National Honor Society, and a member of Spanish National Honor Society. Over the summer Justin volunteered at Marietta Memorial Hospital where he discovered his soon to be major in college, Pre-Med. After volunteering, he is 100% sure that he wants to become a doctor. He also hopes to minor in music/dance in college. He knows that “PREMIERE” and Encore will perform well during his senior year.
